More details on the upcoming Apple iPhone OS 4.0 have been leaked out and here are some of the very exclusive specs that most of us have been waiting for – for so long.

Capacitive Multi-touch Screen

Yes – the Apple iPhone 4.0 will feature a big hardware unlock in that it will come with a capacitive multi-touch display and the UI will not only be supporting a few Multi-touch gestures but also gestures in most of the Apps to do the day-to-day tasks. So it’s gonna be fun to use it.

UI and Graphics Re-Polish

The general UI and also the graphics of the OS is gonna have many retouches and coupled with the new upgrade – you’ll get a very good combination of speed and ease with which you can work on it. So, there’s lots of bug fixing and speed enhancements that are expected.

Syncing of Contacts and Calendar

This was a much needed feature that Apple has finally woken upto – so the 4.0 OS will feature capabilites to sync your Contacts and also the Calendar with the computer.

Support for Multitasking

Yup – that was something that all of us have been waiting for. WinMo has had it for long so does Android since it’s launch. Apple iPhone seems to have had a bad reputation of not being able to multitask (except for the iPod app) which was really frustrating for most users. So, we now gonna have support for multitasking capabilities too.

But the new updates of the OS 4.0 will only be available to iPhone 3G and 3GS and not the older versions of the phone. So, you can expect the iPhone 3GS to be much more full fledged to a mini-computer in your pocket now.
