How to easily sync Facebook Contacts with your Microsoft Outlook Contacts?

For those of you who have used the Sense UI on the new HTC devices or Resco Contact Manager on WinMo devices – you’d have already done this – link your mobile phone contacts with their FaceBook ids, thereby pick up their latest images, contact details, etc.

Now, how about having the same functionality on your Outlook too!! Dreaming – nopes, you can now do the same using a small tidy app called OutSync which is a Free Windows Desktop Application. OutSync enables you to sync/match/link your Outlook contacts to thier Facebook profile, photos, etc.

But, what’s still not there is that it doesn’t yet allow you to manually assign the contacts to FB profiles like on Sense UI or Resco – so that’s something of a pain right now as it’ll match only names that have an exact match so, if you store my name in Outlook as Jason S and my Facebook profile has Jason Selvin – there’ll be no match on OutSync. Hope the developers are working on it too.

Currently OutSync is compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 and also Windows XP. Do give it a try now and I amd sure you’ll be pleased to use it.
